Central Government on the eve of Holi announced 6% hike in DA ( Dearness Allowance). This will cost additional 14.7 crores to exchequer.
This will take effect from 1st april 2016. This will benefit over 1 crore employees.
The DA will hike from 119 % to 125% , about 50 lakhs employees and 58 lakh pensioners will get this hiked DA this year. Central government announced it today as a holi gift for employees.
